From Army Member to HEC Region President

Keever didn’t always see himself in education. Before he became the HEC West Region President, Keever was a competitive marksman, Army member, and an Olympic competitor. Although he wasn’t always in the field of education, his background shows his love of positively impacting people’s lives. While in the military, he hired Army wounded warriors and combat amputees to compete in the U.S. Army Paralympics. And now, he puts that passion into his job as West Region President. When asked about why he chose HEC and how it ties into his passion, Keever stated, “I have a desire to truly impact people’s lives in a positive way, and we [HEC] have the ability to do that and in as little as three weeks.”
