What Does a Refrigeration Technician Do?

A refrigeration technician maintains, repairs, and installs refrigeration systems in both residential and commercial settings—like homes, schools, hospitals, office buildings, factories, and grocery stores. These systems can include refrigerated storage units, ice machines, and beverage equipment. Some technicians also attend to the electrical and mechanical aspects of the system.


Here are some tasks you’ll likely perform during training and while on the job.
